| Scope: Series consists of correspondence, memos, transcripts, testimony, newspaper and magazine articles, handwritten notes, information from other states, legislation, town plans and reports. The Governor's Commission on Vermont's Future: Guidelines for Growth was created by Governor Kunin (Executive Order No. 50 (1987); Douglas Costle served as the chair. The Vermont Growth Management Act, Act No. 200 (1988), was passed in response to the commission's recommendations. The records document the functions and activities of the commission. | |
