| Scope: Series consists of the proceedings of the Court of Confiscations. The court was created by the Governor and Council in March, 1778 to "assertain the particular estates to be confiscated and sold for the purpose of supplying the treasury". The court seized and sold the property of persons loyal to the British government who owned property in Vermont.
