LOCAL RECORDS
All public agencies require authorization from a specific law or from the State Archivist to dispose of public records. This section of the website addresses the records management needs and concerns of non-state public agencies, including both municipal and county offices as well as school districts and supervisory unions.
VSARA has dedicated a records analyst to work with local records and respond to records management questions from non-state public agencies. Suggestions and requests for additional tools and resources are always welcome. Questions or comments may be directed to:

Assessors and Listers Association (VALA) to develop new record schedules for all listers and
assessors.
