MAPS / PLANS DATABASE

This database is comprised of maps from Series A-204, which consists primarily of copies of lotting plans, though there are some originals. The lotting plans divided land among the original proprietors of the town who may have settled on the land or sold it.

This database does not include all the maps or lotting plans available at the State Archives. Additional lotting plans are available in the Surveyor General’s Papers (Record Series SE-132) and John W. Chandler Records and Atlas (Record Series A-001) and will be added to the database as time and resources allow. The index to plans drawn by Samuel Crafts is also available (Crafts' plans are part of Records Series SE-132).

To search lotting plans located at the Vermont State Archives, search from a list of current county and town names or from a list of historic place names. A town name only appears in the lists below if a lotting plan is available.
