Notice of Rulemaking
The Office of the Secretary of State is charged with publication of notices of rulemaking. Notices are posted online at: https://secure.vermont.gov/SOS/rules/index.php and an abbreviated notice is published in the "Newspapers of Record" designated by the Secretary of State.
As of July 1, 2010 the detailed notices will only appear online and the abbreviated notices will be published once in the newspapers and in The Vermont Government Register.
The Vermont Government Register is available by subscription from Lexis Publishing and includes administrative rule notices as well as other regulatory and governmental information. Lexis Publishing also publishes The Code of Vermont Rules (a.k.a Vermont Administrative Code), a compilation of administrative rules in effect for Vermont. The code is available by subscription from the publisher and through the Vermont resources at the Vermont Legislature's website: http://leg.state.vt.us/statutes/statutes2.htm.
