Regulations Related to the Sale of Alcoholic Liquor

Vermont Proposed Rule: 08P004

AGENCY: Liquor Control

CONCISE SUMMARY: The proposed rule change will update the Vermont Department of Liquor Control's Regulations in the following categories: Administrative Organization & Procedures, Agency Rules of Practice; Definitions; General; Advertising; Hours of Sale; Credit; Clubs; Wholesale Dealers & Certificate of Approval Holders & VT Manufacturers; Alcohol Regs; Education. This rule change is proposed for the purpose of bringing the regulations into compliance with Vermont Statutes, and to clarify regulation language. Proposed rule changes will be available at: http://liquorcontrol.vermont.gov/enforcement.

TYPE OF PERSONS AFFECTED: DLC licensees and permittees, license applicants, permit applicants, Vermont Department of Liquor Control Investigators and other DLC employees, Vermont State Police and other state and local law enforcement personnel, the Liquor Control Board, the Vermont Attorney General's Office, the citizens of Vermont.

COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The Vermont Department of Liquor control anticipates negligible economic impact as a result of the proposed rule changes. Some licensees and permittees may experience minor additional record-keeping requirements.
