Vermont Seed Standard Regulations

Vermont Proposed Rule: 08P001

AGENCY: Agriculture, Food & Markets

CONCISE SUMMARY: The proposed rules amend the existing state seed rules. The proposed rules would also add record keeping and reporting requirements.

TYPE OF PERSONS AFFECTED: Seed manufacturers, seed processors, seed distributors and sellers, seed purchasers, including commercial agricultural and garden users.

COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS: There will be little to no economic impact to this rule as persons affected by this rule are generally in compliance with its provisions in light of the adoption by other states of the Association of American Seed Control Officials Recommended Uniform State Seed Law (RUSSL) requirements.
