Revision to Rules & Regulations - Visitor Conduct & Fees and Charges for State Park Services and Commercial Activities on Department Lands.
Vermont Proposed Rule: 07P010
AGENCY: Natural Resources; Forests, Parks & Rec.
CONCISE SUMMARY: Increase day use fees from $2.50 per adult to $3.00 per adult. Increase group day use fee from $1.80 per person to $2.00 per person. Increase season vehicle pass fee from $75 to $80. Increase fee for 10-use Punch Pass from $18 to $20. Other minor housekeeping changes.
TYPE OF PERSONS AFFECTED: Adult day users; group day users; vehicle pass and punch card purchasers.
COST BENEFIT ANALYSIS: The fee increase is estimated to generate approximately $120,000 in park revenue. Considering the length of time since the last day use fee increase and the level of current admission fees for other area attractions and neighboring state parks, it is expected that this increase will be well received by park visitors. No decline in attendance is expected.
